His arguments are that : Although money cannot buy happiness if there is none, it can help sustain it, if for example the father would not be so stressed and cocerned if there was enough money to cover the family's needs. Although health in important, it is equally true that money can preserve or restore health. He uses examples from the case he discribes, for example the child that needs ongoing care along with children that are planning to study law and medicine.
