Grammar: Infinitive and Gerund (القواعد: المصدر والاسم الفاعلي)

1. Question: To is placed before / after the main verb to form the infinitive.

   • Answer: before

   • Translation: تُوضع كلمة (To) قبل الفعل الأساسي لتكوين الصيغة المصدريّة (Infinitive).

2. Question: We use the base / gerund form of the verb to form the infinitive with to.

   • Answer: base

   • Translation: نستخدم الشكل الأساسي (المجرد) للفعل لتكوين الصيغة المصدريّة مع (to).

3. Question: We use the infinitive / gerund after the verb want.

   • Answer: infinitive

   • Translation: نستخدم الصيغة المصدريّة (infinitive) بعد الفعل (want).

4. Question: Walking is the gerund / infinitive of the verb walk.

   • Answer: gerund

   • Translation: كلمة (Walking) هي اسم الفاعل/المصدر المنتهي بـ ing (gerund) للفعل (walk).
